Something I don’t share very often (if at all) on my Instagram, is my nature photography. These images, taken while on hikes and garden strolls, strongly influence my work—especially the goddesses series. The strength and beauty of her rises from mud, the waste, the soil we take for granted, and wash from our feet.
These moments among flowers adorned in dew drops, listening to whispering butterfly wings and rambling mumbles of bees, these moments bring me peace. My color pallets for lips and eye shadows are petals, and the headpieces I design, constructions of these landscapes. The stories I’ve come to adore, ancient and incomplete, suddenly unfold in the wonders of these spaces. The goddesses are here, in the elements, in the fauna, in the flora that canopies this place.
