Baking and prepping for Christmas lunch tomorrow, I was reminded of Colleda. This sweet maiden goddess was a Serbian solstice goddess. Her merry personality can be seen in the bright light of the burning Yule log, as she represented the promise of a return of the spring sun and new growth. Children went door to door asking for sweet cakes from her worshipers since the delicious treats were pleasing to the goddess. Photographer/MUA: Jeannie Nadja

Sharing some more styling tips. This video is about using fresh flowers (and even fresh herbs!) in your shoots. For headpieces, I use artificial or dried flowers, so that they keep. However, for props or add in's, I use fresh flowers. You can still save some of these (like roses) by drying them out and using them again for other shoots. Alternatively, you can also shoot them for still life imagery. |
